14 weeks - 2 days

In just 4 short weeks (from today) we should hopefully find out the sex of the baby! That is, hoping he/she cooperates :) We can't wait!!! Then we'll get movin on what colors we want for the nursery AND the most important thing.... picking a name for our baby! We've sorta narrowed it down to a few for a boy and girl... but are not telling the choices. I'm sure after we find out the sex, hopefully the name picking will get a lot easier. NOTE: we're HOPING it will.... THEN we will let everyone know the name!!! Now that the weather is getting nicer... I'm hoping to start walking more in our neighborhood. Even if it's only a half a block. Ryan is a runnner - but walks with me when I'm up to it. I get out of breath SO easy doing the smallest things..... it's actually funny. Ryan and I went to Target last night to get a couple of things... and when we were leaving (in the check-out line), I evidently looked exhausted to him and he said "Are you tired?" I replied "YES!" We were only in Target for 15 minutes!!!! It was funny.
I'm finally starting to show. My shirts are starting to get a bit snug. I bought a few new shirts over the weekend to fit my growing belly... size Large! I haven't had to do the rubber band thing yet with my pants - but I'm sure that'll be right aroung the corner. For our next update..... we should hopefully know if we're having a Boy or Girl!!! WE CAN'T WAIT!!!

Today we had our 2nd DR appt. We had another ultrasound and saw the little "guy". Lil Baby K was an active little booger! Bouncing all over the place! That lasted for a bit.... then it was nap time :) It was the cutest little thing we have EVER seen. We saw more than we thought we were going to.... which made it that much better. We figured it'd still be too small to see a whole lot... but that wasn't the case.... we saw a lot! They have me a week further along than before ... which puts me @ 12 wks/3 days (instead of 11 wks). The heartbeat was 159 beats per minute. OH, and the most shocking part of the appt..... I haven't gained a pound since my last appt.!!!! I about died!!! As much as I eat... I figured I'd at least be 4-5 lbs. heavier... Nope. I'm sure I'll make up for it in the 2nd trimester though :) I'm not nauseous these days like I was for about a month... so now food is starting to sound more appealing. I'm thankful for that. As you see below, my craving is ice cream and strawberries. I do not have an aversion. At least yet. I'd love for it to stay that way, but who knows! Ryan still gives me nightly head massages. It's such a wonderful thing! I LOVE HIM!!!

Soooooo Gooooood!!!!!

I was going to wait until after our next DR appt. to blog, but I'm sitting here at work... thinking of my favorite thing to eat... and I wanted to let you all know what that is, since you're ALL dyin to know!!! Ha! Ha! (Yes, I'm a nerd.) I LOVE ICE CREAM WITH FRESH STRAWBERRIES!!!! I can't just eat ice cream alone... It has to have fresh strawberries on it..... and A LOT of them. It all started when my mother-in-law, Karen, and father-in-law, Paul, stayed the night with us last Sunday night, 3.1.09 They were traveling through Evansville after taking a week's vacation in sunny Florida! Anyway, they told us how they went to the Strawberry Festival in Plant City, FL.... AND, Karen brought us back a batch of FRESH strawberries. Well, I have been hooked ever since! I'm in love. Ha! Ha! Ryan and I have had a bowl EVERY night since and I don't see it slowing down anytime soon. Soooo, there you have it.
