We're having a baby GIRL!!!! Noelle Marie Kirkpatrick. I found that name a while back online after looking for names hours upon hours..... and we thought it was such a cute, precious name for a girl. Her middle name, Marie, just flowed with it really well.... so we put the two together!
So to start the day..... We were both so anxious this morning to find out the sex, we could hardly stand it!!! As the nurse was doing my ultrasound, I was like "SOOO... can you tell? Is it a he or a she?" I figured since it was taking her a bit to tell me... she obviously wasn't seeing that certain anatomy that a boy has ;) I whispered to Ryan... "It's a girl!" And sure enough... a few seconds later she replies, "You're having a little girl!" I gasped (pretty loud), "OH MY GOSH, IT'S A GIRL!" We were thrilled! The look on Ryan's face was priceless... he kept getting closer and closer to the monitor to see our little girl :)
I wish I had a camera to take a picture of him..... looking at her.
Her overall health is supurb. Her growth is perfect, her heart looks great (saw all four ventricles, 154 BPM) her brain looks great, and she has all 5 toes and fingers! We are some happy parents to be! It's starting to seem so much more real to us now that we can refer to our baby as "her" and/or by her name.
OH... I have felt her fluttering in my belly for the past two weeks... it feels like I have butterfly's in my stomach. Well last night, she was really movin around and I could feel her (with my hand) on the OUTSIDE of my belly for the first time. I put Ryan's hand on my belly to see if he felt it... but the flutters are still too light for him to feel it. It's the neatest feeling in the world feeling her little flutters.
18 Weeks

Noelle Marie......

It's a GIRL!!!!!

5 little fingers........
and 5 little toes

Look at that cute little bottom :)

I couldn't wait until Monday to blog... so I'm going to do it today... AND Monday as well :) There has been a lot going on, so I figured I'd split it up. The most exciting thing goin on right now.... we find out if we're having a boy or girl on Monday! I get butterfly's just thinking about it. We talk about it all the time... what it'll be like if we have a boy and what it'll be like if we have a girl. We envision all the exciting things having either/or. I'll be 18 weeks tomorrow (Saturday). This week from head to rump, our baby is about 5 1/2 inches long (about the length of a bell pepper) and weighs almost 7 ounces. ONLY 7 OUNCES - that's it!!! By the looks of my belly.... I would think it weighed at least 3-4 lbs. by now! Ha! Ha! I'm feeling really good these days... just getting a bigger belly (of course) and doin the rubber band thing with my pants! I swear my belly grew overnight. At about the 16-17 week mark..... POOF..... my belly just GREW!!! Before I had a belly when Ryan would walk up to me... he'd put his arms around my shoulders and hug me... now he puts both hands on my stomach :) It's cute!
We decided to list our house FOR SALE as of March 28, 2009. We're still a bit shocked we're doing this in the midst of "everything", but we think it's the best time for us to do so. We simply need a bigger house! Kelly Martin is helping us with this process, and she is wonderful to work with!! If it weren't for her.... we don't know what we'd do. We hear having a baby can take up some room??? I don't know if this is true or not... that's just what we hear :) We've had several people look at our house.... it just hasn't sold yet. We're staying very positive about this - we're hoping it'll sell sooner than later.
Ryan turned 33 on Good Friay (April 10th)!! We had a nice dinner with my parents and sister at his (our) favorite restaurant - Bonefish Grill for his birthday. That was yummy as usual. Then went out and painted the town RED!!! ONLY KIDDING :) We went up and stayed with his parents for Easter this year. It was a beautiful weekend! We are both so ready for it to start STAYING nice on the weekends so we can spend more time outside. I need a TAN - and he would like to play more golf :)
Me @ almost 18 weeks!
